Invest in Your Community, Give to United Way

 

One in four Monterey County residents will benefit this year from programs supported by United Way.  United Way is proud that only 9% of its funds go to administrative overhead. The cost of fundraising our program is 10%. These figures are far below the Charities Review Council recommendations.  Distributions of funds is done by panels of community volunteers who visit agencies and meet with clients and staff to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
