AIDS Awareness DayWorld AIDS Day is celebrated around the world on December 1st each year.  It is one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate victims and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

Free HIV Testing and Candlelight Vigil
When: 12:00pm
Where: Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS), Holland Center
What: FREE HIV & Hepatitis C testing provided from 12:00 to 17:00. Condoms from the Great American Condom Campaign, AIDS ribbons, and public health information will be provided. Candlelight vigil on the Holland patio begins at 17:00. Please bring your candles, stories, pictures, and signs.  Contact: Mike Atoria, 516-445-4507

World AIDS Day Observance

When: 6:00pm
Where: CSUMB- in front of the flagpole on the campus’ Main Quad area
What: The evening will include presentation of culturally-based statistics, a facilitated discussion about the potential for a new spike in infections among college-aged adults, and a candlelight vigil.
