Dr. Ida Lopez Chan is a dedicated leader committed to improving healthcare access and strengthening community resources in South Monterey County. Born and raised in Greenfield, CA, to immigrant parents, Dr. Lopez Chan learned the value of hard work and perseverance at an early age. As the first woman in her family to attend college, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later obtained a Master of Business Administration and most recently a doctoral degree.
Since taking on the role of CEO of the Soledad Community Health Care District, Dr. Lopez Chan has focused on strengthening the district’s financial sustainability, expanding services, and increasing healthcare access for underserved populations. Under her leadership, the district has enhanced operations at Soledad Medical Clinic, Eden Valley Care Center, and the Women's Health Center. She has also championed the development of a mobile health clinic to reach patients in rural areas who face barriers to medical care.
