Laura Pruneda, CPA is a seasoned professional who has assumed command in various industries and capacities, such as finance, operations, real estate sales and business development. Most recently she served as the interim Director of Finance for the City of Marina and was the lead consultant on numerous projects for the Monterey County Business Council.
Pruneda has been a resident of Monterey County since kindergarten and attended Alisal High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at Stanford University, she also played Division I, Pac-10 softball. Service above self is in her DNA. She was a Co-Chair of the Plaza Rotario project in East Salinas’ Closter Park. Volunteer engagement includes the Salinas Valley Wine & Food Festival as well as Hartnell’s Party in the Library. She is very active in international Rotary projects and has also coached youth sports, most notably as a defensive line coach for an undefeated Pop Warner Football team for 4 years. Pruneda currently serves on local boards such as Girls Inc., Downtown Salinas Rotary, and Big Sur Land Trust.
Laura is a proud mother of two young adults who are the loves of her life.
