Every year, our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free tax preparation services to residents of Monterey County, a service made possible by our dedicated community volunteers. Thanks to the incredible community partners who volunteer their time and space as site coordinators and site hosts, we're able to offer tax sites throughout the county.
We invite you to an informational meeting on August 8th to learn more about becoming a Site Coordinator or Site Host. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on your community.
Being a Site Volunteer or Host Site means:
- Empowering Monterey County: By providing free tax preparation services, you help ensure that individuals and families receive the full refunds they are entitled to, which can make a significant difference in their lives.
- Supporting Your City: Your involvement directly benefits the residents of your city. Together, we can strengthen our neighborhoods and support our neighbors in need.
- Embracing the Value of Community Work: United Way's vision is rooted in mobilizing communities to create lasting change. As a site coordinator, you become a crucial part of this vision, contributing to a more connected and resilient community.
Join us in this rewarding endeavor and be part of something bigger. Your leadership and commitment can help transform lives and build a brighter future.
